يواجه موقع التواصل الاجتماعي فيسبوك الكثير من التحديات على المستوى الأمني و ذلك بسبب العدد الكبير من المستخدمين الذي تجاوز مليار مستخدم نشيط في الشهر، و مع هذه التحديات التي تهدد الموقع قررت فيسبوك عقد شراكة مع واحدة من أهم الشركات المطورة مضادات الفيروسات.

و منذ مدة قامت فيسبوك بالعديد من الإجراءات لمواجهة المشاكل الأمنية التي تواجه المستخدمين على الموقع و من بينها انتشار الملفات الخبيثة التي تستهدفهم، و من بين هذه الإجراءات ما يتعلق بتعميم بروتوكول HTTPS بالإضافة إلى تأمين خوادم الموقع و عقد شركات مع شركات إنتاج مضادات الفيروسات و الحلول الأمنية، و من بين هذه الشركات توجد الشركة الروسية كاسبرسكي.

فيسبوك أعلنت أنها قامت بتوقيع شراكة مع كاسبركسي من أجل حماية و تأمين مستخدمي الموقع و ذلك عبر أداة جديدة ستحمل إسم "Malware scan" و ستمكن بعد تثبيتها من رصد و حذف البرمجيات الخبيثة المنتشرة في الموقع الاجتماعي، كما بإمكان الأداة أن تنشط بشكل تلقائي في حالة الخطر.

و بهذه الخطوة تنضاف كاسبيرسكي لشركات أخرى أبرمت اتفاقات مع فيسبوك كـ ESET و F-Secure.
